My Colour Poem

Blue

Blue is the Colour of the mythical creature that stands before us/Smurfs.

Blue is the Colour of the tidal water that streams past beaches.

Blue is the hypnotizing Colour that floats in the sky.

Blue is the Colour of the bright ink i'm using as we speak and now i'm stopping.

Winter sports

Throughout term 2 the senior syndicate will experience a whole range of  sports that you play during winter. The sports we will be doing are Volleyball taken by Mrs Roskam, Basketball taken by Mrs Wolf, Netball taken by Mrs Gunn and soccer taken by Miss Wylie. I enjoy playing the games at the end of the lesson.

On  the last day of week 1 we had our Assembly based on the camp we recently went on. We shared all the activities we enjoyed during camp and shared alot of learning that we did in the classroom. All of us didn't feel any nerves at all and all of us really enjoyed ourselves.

Camp 2015

Week 7, Term 1 was the best week of my school years because we missed a whole week of school and well, we went to the school wide famous Karakiriki Christan camp. During the week we experienced a whole range of activities that we all enjoyed and had the yummiest dinners ever. I never wanted to leave!

Pastel Portraits

On the second week of Term 4 we had Mrs Demchy and an activity we did throughout the week was pastel portraits. And the best thing about this is seeing the finished product.  

Dianne Rogers

On Wednesday Dianne Rogers met the senior syndicate in the staff room to talk to us about Excellence because that is the senior syndicates topic for Term 3. Dianne Rogers came to talk to us about Excellence because she shows it because she went to the commonwealth games and the Olympics for 3000m and came 4th place twice and missed out on a medal but she still had a great time. So to us she is a famous Athlete.

summary:

Bear Grylls gold of the gods is about an epic journey with beck Granger, Marco and Christina ( the twins).   On the way they meet the Kogi people,who are the protectors of the land of the lost city.

Character description:

The main characters in this story are Beck Granger and the twins.
Beck Granger is a young 12 year old boy who is adventurous and has a lot of knowledge about the jungle. Christina and Marco ( the twins) are Beck's friends. The twins normally help Beck when hes trying to make something or kill something.

Likes and dislikes:

The things that I liked about the story were all the tips and all the ways to survive in the jungle. The things that I disliked was when they were strolling through the jungle and the author was talking about random stuff and it was a bit boring

Themes:

The themes in the story are culture,courage and survival and the message that the author was trying to tell the reader is that if you survive in the jungle its a great accomplishment.

Recommendation:

I recommend this book for boys 8+ because they could learn a lot about surviving in the jungle and they would enjoy the action.
